There are a lot of common errors in English can be encountered among my students, friends, colleagues and other Malaysians basically. Sometimes, I don't have the heart to tell them upfront as it might hurt their feelings. Besides, I don't want them to think that 'I think I'm too good' because I'm not that good and still learning. Hopefully, this blog will help us to correct our errors so that we can practise good & standard English together.

"What a beautiful scenery!" - Don't say that!
"What a beautiful scenery!"- may sound correct to most of us but it's grammatically wrong.
"What beautiful scenery!" - may sound awkward but it's actually correct.
Do you know why?
So, we cannot say '...a scenery' or 'sceneries'. ;)
*It's simply because 'scenery' is an uncountable noun, just like 'furniture', 'information' and 'bread'.
