FOOD is uncountable!

Food is nearly always uncountable.
"I buy a lot of foods." - WRONG
"I buy a lot of food." - RIGHT (without 's')

"It is a disgrace to serve such a poor food." - WRONG
It is a disgrace to serve such poor food."  - RIGHT (without 's')









However, it is countable only when it refers to a particular kind of food e.g. 'baby foods', 'health foods'
